Come dance with us every Monday at Sonny Newman's Dance hall! We have DJ's music from 9:30pm until midnight and the dance is open to people of all ages. We'll be having classes from 7:30 right up until the dance starts.

The building is across the street from the TapRoot Theater and the studio is on the 2nd floor above a thrift shop, enter in the back.

Cost

$5 for the general public, $3 for SSC members. Free for current students in SSC classes

Sonny’s has traditionally provided an opportunity for community members who are interested in DJing to get a start—for new DJs to try out and hone their craft or just be introduced to the Seattle scene. Therefore, you’ll hear a variety of DJs that you won’t hear elsewhere in Seattle, although plenty of Seattle favorites rotate through as well. All levels and experience are welcome!
