SSC partners with organizers in the swing dance community to sponsor events and organizations. Current and past sponsorships include the Seattle Lindy Exchange, Killer Diller Weekend, Savoy Swing Jam, and Roots, Sister Kate, Tuesday night Practice.
For entities proposing to have SSC sponsorship
- a) Provide a proposal to the SSC board at least 1 week prior to the monthly board meeting, including:
- i. Name of Event
- ii. Statement of mission/purpose,
- iii. How/why it is a good fit for SSC,
- vi. What you need from SSC (if you are asking for monetary sponsorship a Budget is required)
- v. Will there be alcohol at your event? (if so, describe all permits and protocol regarding alcohol handling and consumption that will be used, in detail)
- b) The board will review and vote on proposals. You may also be asked to present your proposal to the board in person
