NEWS January 2010: A Few Changes
-
Monday Beginner classes start at 7:30
-
Monday Intermediate classes start at 8:30
-
Beginner classes are a 5-week series, not a drop-in. We think you will learn a lot more by taking a class that meets regularly and gives you the opportunity to get to know your instructors and peers.
WHEN & HOW
-
BEGINNER SERIES: Mondays 7:30-8:30pm.
-
This is a 5-week beginner class series which covers different aspects of Lindy Hop each week in a progressive way. No experience necessary! No partner necessary!
-
-
-
INTERMEDIATE DROP-IN CLASS: Mondays 8:30-9:30pm.
-
You've built your fundamentals and are ready to dive deeper into lindy hop or try out a new style, be it Balboa, Shag, Vintage Charleston or advanced six count rhythms. A new topic each week means you can come only when the topic interests you, and that we can cover some specialty areas in the wide world of swing dancing.

-
Cost per class: $10 non-members • $7 SSC members
-
Pay at the door (cash or check only). No pre-registration!
-
Lesson includes dance admission to Savoy Mondays at Sonny's
WHO:
Everyone is welcome and you do not need a partner for class.
I’M NEW...WHAT SHOULD I TAKE?:
We suggest starting with the beginner class. Try out the intermediate classes after you have a solid knowledge of the basics. We recommend taking the beginner series multiple times before moving on to the intermediate level.
INSTRUCTORS:
Daniel Newsome and Gaby Cook.
